Omaha and Papillion each bring their own atmosphere and personality, but both share the same commitment to thoughtful food, warm hospitality, and a place where guests can settle in and enjoy the moment.

Aron Mackevicius is the Chef and Owner of Talus Spirits & Sustenance, with culinary roots that began right here in Omaha through his family's business, Lithuanian Bakery. From there, he spent years working throughout Omaha's local restaurant scene, building the experience that would eventually lead him to Talus and the opportunity to bring his own approach to food, spirits and hospitality to life.
For Aron, Talus has always been about more than what's on the plate. It's about creating an experience, welcoming guests, supporting his team, sharing knowledge, and finding ways to make each visit memorable. That same personality comes through in his menu, with favorites like the Buffalo Chicken Gouda Mac, inspired by his daughter, Shrimp & Cashew Pasta, Mt. Fuji Mushroom Risotto and the signature Fish Sandwich. A South Omaha native, when Aron isn't in the kitchen, you'll likely find him golfing or enjoying his favorite simple go-to a good sandwich.
